On A Mission...

Yesterday was one of those that you just can never get enough of. You wake up expecting the day to be a good one, but by the time it ends you realize it's difficult to imagine it any better. It was a day filled with spontaneous adventure, never-ending fun, and a few memories were created to boot. A veggie sandwich, admiring the California coastline, and gourmet cupcakes with one who makes my heart beat heavy was just a small fraction of the good times that took part.

Included in the madness was a visit to the San Juan Capistrano mission. Last time I'd been there I think my age number was still a single digit and I was taken there in a large yellow school bus. This is where growing up has it's perks. You really to learn to appreciate your surroundings, as well as your time before you hit the casket. Here's a few shots from the church within the mission, and hopes to many more days like this ahead...

One Happy Camper...

Along with reformatting the blog a bit, I accidently deleted some of the most recent posts I had put up. While they were anything but important, I thought I'd publicly announce my lack of computer literacy. With that said...

This shot was taken out of the window of a train going about 75 - 80 miles an hour, near "The Ranch." While my photography skills are pretty subpar, I thought this shot came out pretty rad. Hope you enjoy it as much as I do...

Stay Classy...

A few months back, a good group of friends and I decided to be weekend warriors and camp out in San Diego for a few days.  Lots of good laughs and grub that weekend.  The thing I remember most was doing what seemed to be a mile long rock dance with bare feet on the high tide. The waves that morning were about ankle high and lumpy, and my feet we frozen so I kept face planting on the never-ending cobblestones.  I don't think I've ever used profanity that much in a twenty minute period in all my life.  Pure comedy.  Here's Miss taking in the scenery...

Soul Train...

Found this digging through the archives of my photo folder. This was at a stop in San Luis Obispo I believe, coming home from San Francisco this past August.  The main reason I went was because the working life was getting stale and I did a bit of soul searching.  Solo missions to distant places can really help you figure out who you are and what makes the quality of life better for yourself.  Can't wait to get back there...
